Sarawak Cultural Village is an award-winning Living Museum that spans across 17-acres of land just across from Damai Beach Resort and Hotels. Experience Sarawak in Half-a-day at Sarawak Cultural Village and learn about the local culture and lifestyles of the various ethnic groups in Sarawak. At Sarawak Cultural Village, there are replica buildings representing every major ethnic group in Sarawak mainly the Bidayuh, Iban, Orang Ulu, Penan, Melanau, Malay & Chinese. All buildings are staffed with members of the ethnic groups in traditional costume and carrying out traditional activities. The staffs act as storytellers who describe and interpret our way of life. They will happily pose with you for photos too! Sarawak Cultural Village also has an award-winning dance troupe that will entertain you with our multi-cultural dance performance in our Village Theatre twice a day. Our cultural show runs twice a day at 11.30 am and 4 pm.

Annah Rais Longhouse

Annah Rais Longhouse is a Bidayuh settlement about 100km south of Kuching, at the foothill of Borneo Highlands near the mountains marking the border to Kalimantan. Other than the authentic longhouse experience, it is also famous for the hot springs nearby. Kampung Annah Rais is a large Bidayuh village centred around a centuries-old bamboo longhouse, one of the finest still in existence. The Bidayuh make up about 8% of Sarawak’s population and were formerly known as Land Dayaks. They are gracious hosts and village is the perfect place to discover Bidayuh culture and learn about their fascinating way of life.

The Semmengoh Orang Utan sanctuary gives you the perfect opportunity to see these magnificent creatures up close especially during their feeding time.

Matang Wildlife Centre

The Matang Wildlife center houses the endangered wildlife of Sarawak and also serves as a rehabilitation center. Here you will be able to, see the majestic hornbill as they fly through the sky, observe the sunbear and other exotic birds and animals in their natural environment. Take a walk through the park, experience their jungle walk, after which you can cool off with a dip in cool stream of water from the mountains.
